I don't see why Ch9 couldn't repeat an earlier Survivor series as 'filler' during the non ratings period. Even if they braodcast it at 3am, there's always the VCR. Perhaps it would cost too much to buy the repeat broadcast rights? I've no idea, but I think it would make sense to perhaps repeat some of the more interesting series (S1 perhaps?) in the lead up to S8: All Stars.

Back in June, Lou Lou and I went to a session on 24 presented by The Age Green Guide's Debi Enker (regular columnist) and Gordon Ferrer (Editor). We grabbed Gordon (a Survivor fan) and asked him about S4 on behalf of the board, and here's what we reported back:

Again it's not a definitive answer and Gordon isn't a Ch9 programming exec, but he is someone within the industry who cared enough to follow it up with Ch9. I suspect it's such old news it'll never be shown here.

Who did you speak to?

I'm asking, as many people here also rang up Ch9 and were told similar things 18 months ago. Just as well we stopped holding our breath a while ago.....
