The final episode of Survivor 4 was one word.... ABSOLUTELY THE BEST ENDING TO THE ABSOLUTE BEST SERIES OF SURVIVOR EVER!
It had me on the edge of my computer chair the whole time, and it came down to the best final two. And the final questions were harsh, and mean. One was real bitchy. And then the reunion and Rosie. Rosie was SO DAMN FUNNY! Though she missed mentioning a few Survivors, as in she never addressed them. It was a brilliant ending to a brilliant series. This series is better than THE AUSTRALIAN OUTBACK which in my mind was the best. The Survivor 5 logo was... well... it wasnt shown. It had the previews for Survivor: Thailand, but no logo. Some hypes about #5, the survivors will be abandoned in an all new way which will impact the rest of the game, and they are on purposely being abandoned in the middle of the monsoon season. |

Solvivor, I beg to differ. Without spoiling the result, I was VERY unsatisfied with the winner. He/she did not deserve to make it to the final 4, let alone win!!! I will post a minor spoiler below about one particularly unsavoury occurence, (not mentioning any names) but don't say you weren't warned...
In the final 4, there is a 2-2 tie in the voting, and it's decided by the 3 IC losers picking stones out of a bag! The person who lost wasn't even one of the two who had votes against them in that TC! That left a sour taste in my mouth. |

Well I think it was one of the best. You cant say who ever is in the final two didn't deserve to be there, because to be there, it means they played the game the best. The person who won, played hard. They did. They done what they had to do to save their own ass. Thats how you play Survivor.
Anyway, I think the person who won was very deserving. The votes were taken away from Marquesas, then flown by helicopter to N.Y. then driven by taxi cab to Central Park, then read out live. |

Suehawka, I thought you'd been following S4? Yes, I did have a problem with Zoe, but there was one person I despised even more...
Solvivor, as far as I'm concerned, the most deserving S4 player finished third, just like Lex in Africa. Just because someone makes it to the final 2, it doesn't mean he/she deserves to be there. I don't think you'll find anyone disagreeing with me when I say that Kim Johnson was VERY lucky be in the final 2. Sure, she won the last 2 immunities, (even though the Fallen Comrades victory was dubious) but she shouldn't have even made the merge! That showed in the final TC where she only got 2 votes, and one of them was only because Ethan dissed Brandon. Survivor is not what it used to be, and I think that the game, (or at least the editing) needs to be changed to avoid a repeat of what happened in S4, S3, and to a lesser extent S2. S4 was great up until the finale - full of surprises, but the ending left me feeling hollow and cheated. Ethan and you-know-who were both non-entities. Maybe they played well, but we just didn't see it? |

In the opinion of a lot of people, the winner was not nearly as deserving as a few other people in the game.
A lot of people also believed that Rosie was a terrible host for the reunion, even worse than Bryant Gumble. I didn't personally mind either of them. The questions were okay, and yes there was some anger shown, but nothing as memorable as the rat-snake speech of survivor 1. |

Well now that I've seen the finale.
I can say the winner is the most deserving since S1 (they would be tied) I also think that the person, you know who, at the final tribal council even made Sue look like she had a heart! SueHawka = Vince delGato. Michiko Sakurahime

Interesting revisiting this. I don't think everyone was happy with Vecepia winning. I certainly wasn't!
 Kathy was robbed, but then both Neleh and
Vecepia knew they'd have trouble beating her at F2. The random purple rock knocking out Pascal was also wrong. The fire making challenge used in
subsequent seasons is much better.
ETA: and didn't there used to be a thread called 'Vecepia - worst winner evah!'?
