As there's been a bit of to-ing and fro-ing over what exactly constitutes a spoiler this week, very soon a new and imporved definition will be posted. In the meantime, here's an interim version, mostly recycled from Survivor Amazon, with a few bits edited / updated.
What are spoilers? Spoilers include commenting on things that have happened on episodes screened in the US but that won't be broadcast here for another 1 - 2 weeks. This includes boots, challenges, who wins stuff and so on, and how contestants are getting on with each other. Like S-Rev wrote elsewhere, ads for S7 on Ch9 are not spoilers but screenings of US shows like Letterman may contain spoilers and should be treated as such.
Links to threads on any spoiler forums / sites (such as the excellent spoilage on TrueDorkTimes, Survivor Sucks, Survivornews.net. Survivorfever etc) also belongs in the Spoilers forum. Obviously, posting material from these sites that provides alleged info about the show that is not from an official source is also a spoiler. Putting a 'spoiler space' in any thread in this forum is not good enough - if it's a spoiler, it's a spoiler.
The more likely spoiler is an 'indirect' one. For example, someone who's been keeping up with the US may accidentally drop a comment indicating that a particular contestant lasts beyond the episode we're up to, doesn't last* or is friends with someone where we haven't seen any sign of friendship yet. This can quite hard as we're so far behind the US, but could those who do know what's happening take extra care with their contributions to discussion in this forum. If you're bursting to share the news, take it to the Spoilers forum where you won't do any harm. (Please also remember that the Spoilers forum has posting guidelines too, including that no spoiler be revcealed in the thread's title.)
People do make mistakes and I know I've done it too. If you see a spoiler anywhere other than in the spoiler forum, post to Admin Blitz immediately and the first mod on the scene will take any necessary action.
*I was spoiled on another board in a supposed spoiler free thread when someone made an innocent comment about the look on the next bootee's face.
