Most people in my group wanted Yul to win but a slim majority (including myself) thought Ozzy probably would, because the jury seemed the type to get very bitter and hold that against Yul. I thought the close result was deserved, as was the ultimate victory, so I give props to the jury for that.
I thought Yul gave a better jury performance than Ozzy, in terms of being more thought out and appealing to people who valued strategy over sentiment, but it was also one whereby if you'd been pissed at Yul's overall demeanour it wasn't going to win him many votes as it was more or less more of the same. My group considered that though Ozzy's performance was less sophisticated and more all over the place, it may have more emotional appeal and maybe give him an edge. As for Becky - I suspect she actually said a lot more at TC but it was edited out.
Whoever said the F4 challenge didn't involve pain - you should go and stand on something like that for a couple of hours and I can guarantee you'll feel pain. Not quite the same as in (say) Thailand or the Amazon, but a more insidious, creeping pain.
I did like that Becky rejected the offer of the HII from Yul. The firelighting challenge was amusing but a huge embarrassment. When they put up the "1 hour elapsed" I said, jokingly: "Now we'll let you try it with a bic lighter" - and lo and behold, Jeff produced the matches. The only thing that could explain that other than utter incompetence was that the coconut husks may have been wet.
As for the reunion - Ozzy and Yul look much worse with so much more weight on them. Jonathan looked pretty damn good. I loved Jonathan as a player, he really spiced the game up. I also liked some of the very appropriate surnames - Jonathan Penner the writer, and Parvati Shallow - say no more.
