The jig was a bit cute. How stupid does Imogen think we are?e were playing as a team!!! Give me a break, the girls were just bloody useless at that challenge, it's that simple. What's with the mascara & lip gloss on Imogen? She's the only one who doesn't look natural at TC.Guy all the way.

Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	The RC challenge was unfair on the girls - since they were shorter they had to hold the pole up higher - especially Imogen - much easier to rest it on your chest. The guys were pretty stupid to waste all that energy when for sure you would get to take another . Nic sucked at the IC. Glad those girls lost and Nic went after they played the game so badly. Suprised Gaby also voted for Nic. Seriously I could care less who wins after this stupid twist.

The poor girls had the pole up above their heads. They never had a chance. I understood why the guys were sticking it out though. It's a who-can-hold-their-pole-longer thing. It's psychological. They are both pretty competitive. The IC was fair enough. I'm not that surprised about Gaby voting for Nic. Even though she voted against Justin ultimately, I think the two of them are still fairly close. Her stated reason for deciding to vote against him before was so that she had a chance of winning. Now that she has no chance of winning, she may as well support him. Plus, if she helps him win he may well come through on his reputed 'deal', whatever that was. I can't believe, though, that having been told that vote countback would be used to resolve a deadlock, no-one had bothered to keep a track of how many votes people had. Pretty significant point I would have thought. I'm not sure how I feel about the jury being brought in prematurely. It is better than purple rock, which is just too random, but I like the idea of Survivor being that you play to keep yourself in to the F2 and only then does the jury come in to it. In that respect I find something like a firelighting challenge more in the spirit of the game. However, it's arguable that because the jury vote is going to be influenced by how you played the game, you're also partly in control of your own destiny in that way, too.

Yeah Poss, that's what I loved about US 'Survivor', in the earlier seasons (2-3 - don't think past votes were a part of tiebreakers in Borneo - apparently, if there was a double-deadlocked tie, MB was gonna make them continue voting, over and over, until someone eventually changed their vote. But since there was no double-deadlock in Borneo, this of course was never put to the test). Anyway, they used to occassionally keep votes secret. I assume they did this to keep contestants on their toes, so that they couldn't really always keep a mental scorecard on how many votes each person had acquired, thus making it difficult to use the knowledge of past votes (or lack thereof) against others in the future. Examples I can think of are Kimmi's vote for Jeff.V in ep 5 of Aust.Outback, which wasn't revealed, and also Silas's vote for Frank in ep 5 of Africa, which again, was hidden. I think it's a clever move on behalf of MB and co, though I guess it does take some of the suspense away. Past votes are no longer in vogue, but strangely, I've noticed that in more recent seasons, they sometimes still don't reveal certain votes. Jeff not revealing Jim Lynch's vote for Margaret in ep 1 of Guatemala has me stumped. My only explanation is that perhaps they liked Margaret as a character, and didn't want her name tainted with the vote or something. Also, it would have made Jim look like a bit of an arsehole, because Margaret helped him out a lot with his dehydration and stuff after the hike. I haven't been watching Celeb Survivor enough to know about the votes and whether or not any were hidden from contestants, but I'd say that even if a particular vote/s is/are hidden, that that/those vote/s would still count in the event that past votes are called upon to break a tie.

What were they thinking when they designed that challenge? I just hate this Outcast twist at F3 thing - it's just too damn late in the game to do something like that. And for the life of me I cannot figure out why the girls voted David out last week - surely they had to know it would be one of them next? Regarding the previous vote thing - that seems unfair to me too. Surely with Nic in the game longer, she would have had more time to accumulate more previous votes than Justin because he was out of the game for that period of time. Not good at all. I think a fire starting challenge is the best thing to do in such a situation - forget previous votes and the purple rock.

I enjoyed most of it to a point, but now that we are most likely going to end up with a Guy/Justin final 2 thanks to Seven's stupid little twist - I just can't be bothered with this. Imogen all the way. Not that I'm necessarily a fan of hers, but at least she has been there the whole time.

I hadn't thought of that, it does sound unfair. But I suppose they could say that Guy was voted off, so has obviously had quite a few votes, and that perhaps evens it out.

He didn't lie to them, they could trust him but were too stupid to know it. I'd have been pissed off at such a betrayal. Nic knew she'd done the wrong thing & that she was going that night. Bringing back players that were voted off wasn't fair anyway. I agree the RC was totally unfair. But that dopey Imogen hitting herself with the pole was the highlight of the show. If Justin wins this I'm sticking with the US Survivor, ours sucks!

David got outplayed and unlike the others who took their dismissal with what appeared to be good grace (at least in front of the cameras), seems quite bitter about it. In some ways it's understandable as he was betrayed, but betrayal is part of this game. 2) Despite all the above, for players remaining in the game it's important to keep the jury on side. In getting rid of people you have to do so in the way that least jeopardises people thinking less of you. In doing what they did the girls not only pissed off David but may have lowered themselves in the eyes of the other jurors, particularly compared to Guy who didn't betray anyone. It's the girls' fault that David was left so bitter and they will pay for that.
