I changed my mind.... |
Lead | |

...about that toilet paper guy. I was half asleep when I said before that he may be okay since he had enough common sense to bring toilet paper as a luxury item. But he's a friggin' pig - perhpas may be as bad as Tom without the jibberish. He snores like a broken down engine and his feet...eek!!!

I like going back over old posts, even though they usually refer to me as a boring fart, a nerd, wanker, rude prick, and many others, although I think that someone once said that I was nice. Only once, but I am sure that someone did say it. Probably my wife... I find the comments interesting. I never take them personally, even if I think that they are meant to be personal. How you are portrayed on a TV Show is totally out of your control. I would be more concerned if my friends, work mates, neighbours, associates, etc were making those comments. Besides, having been a cop for 35 years does give you pretty thick skin.
I was once asked how I saw myself on survivor. The answer was that I was pretty boreing. I am sorry that I was, because I went on to play a different type of game. It has a lot to do with my feet. Yeah, those ugly black feet. As I said, I will explain one day. |

Hi Possum - Yes Naomi did call me a complete jerk. So did Craig I think. But why?????? So the editing was a factor after all..... Remember that you can never trust the editors.
Well, Naomi and the rest of her pathetic team - Kadina I think they were called - lost a challenge. In fact they were thrashed. And my part was to sledge them and put them off their act so that they lost their concentration and the mighty Tipara could kick arse. Remember that my feet were stuffed and I needed to win to survive Tribal Council - so I sledged. Now I must admit that I am a believer in sledging. So I cannot claim a 'one only' or innocence, or anything else. I sledged Kadina and I sledged big time. So when pathetic Kadina lost, they needed someone to blame. They couldnt accept that they were pathetic losers. They needed to blame someone and the number one Tipara sledger was fair game. Yes, I was a jerk and I am proud of my terrific sledging abilities. Not all will agree, but thats just too bad. I sledged and we won. There was no question of sportsmanship. The game was there to win and we did. Its just too bad for the pathetic (but good looking) Naomi. She couldnt come to grips with defeat. I guess that you could say that she was a poor loser. |

Fair enough, sledging is pretty Australian afterall.
You still haven't told us what happened to your feet. Did you burn them? ![]() |

The feet - I had thought about making up some great story about them, but the truth is.....
I hurt them on day one when I jumped off a rock. Then on day two I fished bare feet from the rocks and kind of wore off the skin on the jagged rocks, together with a few cuts. Then there was the first challenge where I again hurt them running over rocks. Its as simple as that really. The black was actually dirt. Thats how we all were. Its just that they didnt show everyone else's feet. The medic came to see me and told me to keep my feet in the sun as that would help. The problem that I had was that I was trying to keep the injury from the rest of the team. Sorry that its not an exciting story. Its more about my stupidity for fishing bare feet from the rocks. |

Sounds painful! Didn't the rest of the tribe cotton on after you had a visit from the medic?

Re: I changed my mind....

I lied about my feet to some extent. The cuts were obvious and I pretended that they were not as bad as they were. The medic takes you off to the side to see you and keeps it from the rest of the tribe as much as he can. I did notice Lance and Rob watching, although neither said anything. Sciona asked me about them, but we were in the early stages of an alliance. Joel didnt seem to care and Jane wasnt that aware of what was happening around her. I think that Sophie was having fun and didnt take notice of things that she thought would not impact on her. I dont know about Katie. I suspect that she would take it all in as she didnt seem to miss much. She was the best player in the game by far. A bitch, but good.
I tried to walk behind everyone when we went to get water or food. On a couple of occasions I stayed back at our camp to 'get wood'. That gave me time to 'put my feet in the sun'. |

Her breakdown is one of the best Survivor moments ever. I have it on tape somewhere. Must watch it again.

Katie's breakdown is arguably the most memorable moment in Survivor history! She was awesome x10!!

Re: I changed my mind....

Yeah, I thought that the 'breakdown' was great TV. I was actually sitting beside Katie in a studio in Melbourne watching it on the final night. I dont know if it had already been shown or not. It could have been a bit of a recap or whatever. Anyway, when Katie talked about killing Rob I looked sideways at her and I was horrified by the look on her face. I think that she meant it. I touched her shoulder and she took my hand and squeezed it, and squeezed it and squeezed it. I said 'I think you meant that' and she just stared at me. I will always remember it. I dont know why I will always remember that incident, because I was with her, or because of the actual incident, the look, or whatever, but I will always remember that.
Yeah, she was a bitch, but I really like her. Dont know what that says about me. |

The last few eps of that series were definitely pretty good.
Katie - to an extent you can understand her being bummed during the game but it was scary that she was still so furious and resentful months afterwards. I read a news story once where she claimed to have been permanently psychologically scarred by the experience. Okay, athletes are very competitive, but surely they are also used to being outplayed and losing occasionally? |
