Did anyone hear the story about one of the contestants in the last mole being accused of sexual harrasement by another contestant while filming the show?  Seems it was all hushed up in case it leaked to the papers.

I was reading TV Week today and there was a little thing on the last page saying that the next season of the mole is most likely going to be a celebrity edition. It's going to go to air in the second half of the year.
That's really going to suck. Having celebrities as contestants will just ruin the whole format and point of this show. |

Okay, so looks like it won't be Celebrity Mole then. Channel 7 were just using that name so that Channel 9 didn't discover they were doing Celebrity Survivor.
So, is there still going to be another Mole season later this year? Or have they gone with Celebrity Survivor instead?

Hopefully there'll be another Mole series, it did pretty well in the ratings so I can't see why not, and I seem to remember an article or two saying there would be.
The Mole producer is also doing the Celeb Survivor, but that's only filming for three weeks so it's hardly a long term commitment. I would imagine applications would be opening sometime in the next few weeks...they opened at the beginning of July last year. If it does go ahead, I wonder where they will film it! I hope they don't use New Zealand again...too repetitive. And Australia is too easy for it to be spoiled. I wonder if they will follow the same "live" format.  |

Well, I think I would prefer them to do the live format again. Whilst the pre-recorded season works a lot more smoothly, by the end of last season I did adapt to the live format and I think I would like them to do it again that way if they do another season.
And yeah I don't think they would go to New Zealand again. I would like them to go to another beacy/paradise type location. They would have to go somewhere close to Australia though if they do the lvie format again because of the constant flying there and back. |

The live format sucked because the contestants picked the Mole too easily. Given that it was live the contestants had the benefit of hooking into the fan analysis etc and people sharing their theories. Once they worked out the 399 = JWW clue, everyone knew who the Mole was.
Keep the Mole pure - keep the contestants segregated and film it in one hit.  |
