Yuku free message boards

Jgab, I hear you. My workplace hasn't blocked Yuku yet, but has blocked other 'social networking' sites.

The message at the top of the board's been there since late January, but as it's an ezBoard message there's nothing we can do to get rid of it. The situation's the same as in my earlier post: we will be moving eventually, just not quite yet.

We've already requested several stays of execution based on Yuku being so buggy to begin with, but Yuku's working now. There is no update from ezBoard regarding at what point time runs out, but it's getting closer.

At the moment we still won't be moved until we ask, but it's only delaying the inevitable. At least this way, we won't just log in one day and discover that we're suddenly on Yuku.

The good news is that Yuku now really does have more features than ezBoard, while also keeping the network aspect of ezBoard. Once we've had time to get used to it, I think a lot of us will grow to like it.

I reckon you should hang back for a bit, Em.

Sure you'll lose all of your ezSupporter options/benefits but it wouldn't necessarily be long before we move. You'd go back to limited messages, probably have to change your sig and wouldn't be anonymous in the lurker bar any more - and I think that's about it. As for the benefit to the board, ASS's subscription is paid up until September 2008.
