Loving this season! Pretty much every vote has been a nail-biter, and the editing has been great in that with most of the TCs, I've had no idea who was
gonna get the boot. It's interesting how the foursome of Corrinne, Charlie, Marcus and Jackie were given so much emphasis at the beginning, only to see
their alliance crumble as the eps went on. I thought for sure that at least two of them would make it close to the end -- especially Marcus and Charlie because
their bond was shown in a way similar to that of the Amanda/Todd one in China.
I'm so happy that Ken and Crystal have managed to pull through at each of the TCs they've been to. Typically the loud, obnoxious, strong black women
get kicked out early, so I'm thrilled to see Crystal make it as far as she has. At the very least she's made jury, and you can bet she won't fail
to deliver when it comes time to vent. The thing I like about Ken is that, like Randy said at TC this ep, he's really changed over the course of the
season. He started off as this meek, relatively quiet, UTR kid, who looked like he didn't stand a hope of doing well in the challenges. Now, he speaks his
mind and isn't afraid to call people out for things and stand up for himself. He's becoming somewhat of a power player (though perhaps not quite as
powerful as Sugar) and it's cute that his main alliance buddy is Crystal -- they're just such an unlikely couple.
As for the other players: Corinne I've gone off a bit. I just find a lot of her bitchy comments forced and scripted. She's nothing like the naturally
cunty Courtney.Y who was gold everytime she opened her mouth. It's good having her around though for her reactions, everytime something doesn't go her
way.Randy is quite hilarious. I've enjoyed his commentary throughout the season, but even he gets a little too nasty for my liking at points -- the way he
was making all of the Crystal "bigfoot" jokes is a prime example. Susie has really surprised me in a lot of ways. At the beginning she was this
non-existant, grumpy little troll who made huge fuckups (telling Corinne she was going to vote for her), but as she's gone along she's gotten stronger,
cementing an alliance with Ken and Crystal, swing-voting out Marcus, winning Individual Immunity (what the?), and then again helping to knock Charlie out of
the game. She's becoming the next Lil!
I still like watching Sugar. She's cute and fun, and she's playing the game which is good. It'll be interesting to see if, when and how she uses
her idol. Matty kind of annoys me. I don't know why -- maybe it's just his voice or something. He's nice and all, just doesn't do anything for
me. He's like an Ozzy spin-off or something. I like Bob, and I'm glad that he's made it this far, because he's the type that screams first,
second or third boot. Actually, that's something I really love about this season -- the fact that the people left post-merge are all really diverse.
There's a good mix of old and young which is refreshing because I get sick of all 20 and 30-somethings making it to the endgame. You need a few oldies in
the mix (as long as their names aren't Scout or Kim.J).
That clip at Ponderosa with Charcus is too funny. Can't ya just see Jeff next week saying: "We'll now bring in the members of our jury...
Marcus... coming ou...I mean... voted out at the last tribal council... and in tow... his new bitch... Charlie... wearing... Hugo Boss?"
