That may have been my absolute least favourite season finale ever. And I never thought All-Stars would be topped.

Yeah definately had better finales. Was hoping Margie and Luke would get it. But I didn't mind any of the 3 teams.

I thought it was good up until the end... It just finished, didn't feel like there was any great suspense or anything for the finish line.... Happy'ish
Victor and Tammy won, I wanted team fire crotch to take it out.....was happy as long as Margie and Luke didn't win.

Wow! Um...
After it being such a treat to see this show again, go to some interesting places and see some activities that were entertaining, funny and / or just downright evil, and getting to know and like a number of the contestants what a yawnfest the finale was. Didn't mind who won, thought it would be Tammy and Victor. :yawn |

I thought it was a good finale. The final challenge I was on the edge of my seat with all the 3 teams there! Sad that Jaime and Cara didn't win as they
were my faves plus would have been nice to have all female team win! But very glad that Margie and Luke didn't win! They annoyed me shitless.
I was also glad for once they didn't try and make the end result look closer than it really was. It was obvious after the challenge Victor and Tammy were going to win and we got to see how happy they were driving to the finish line for once knowing they were going to be the ones arriving there. Also is it jsut me or have the last couple of seasons the winners been obvious from the start? Don't know if it's the way they are editing or perceiving certain teams, but last season I could have predicted that Nick and Starr would win from the very start. Always had that same feeling about Victor and Tammy at the very beginning. Not to mention that Victor and Tammy had a MAJOR advantage being chinese and having half of the season in Asia, and the last two legs in China where they had been to for the olympics only months earlier... hmmm... |

I was glad as long as it wasn't Margie and Luke as well - "we were underdogs from the start" no you weren't you came 3rd and have always been
one of the strongest teams but it's you who keeps pointing out that you're deaf and tries to make a big deal about it. The finale seemed alright to me
but maybe because we had the double episode. Bring on next season and please more exciting 'can they/ can't they' challenges vs 'pick this up
and find this place for your next clue.'

It wasn't great in terms of the challenges or scenery but did make for a bit of tension as they were doing both the pig challenge and the surfboard one.
The order of teams changed several times and it was clearly potentially anyone's game right up to the surfboard challenge. Much better than those finales
where they just chase each other round and round with the team order remaining essentially the same.
I did feel a bit for Luke - not a big fan but it looked like he was going to romp it home in that surfboard challenge. He certainly seemed to have his act together, what a shame about the last two boards (which should have, in theory, been easier. That first St Christopher one was really obscure!) In some ways it is a shame that everything rests on one team member in those sorts of challenges - it might be better if the teams could work together. Luke will probably always feel that he cost them the million. As for Margie's "This experience was worth more than a million" - well, maybe, but if you'd won you would have had the experience PLUS the million, so that's not exactly great comfort. As for the pig challenge - I couldn't believe that Margie and Luke were the only ones who took the weight of the pig on their shoulders. That was so much easier! And the jetski race would have been great fun. At the end of the day Tammy was probably my "least worst" person so although I didn't like Victor that much I am not too fussed. I am just glad that Jamie and Cara didn't win because their attitude was just atrocious. Probably fitting that they seemed to get the cab with the dispatcher who had no idea about customer service. "Tell your passengers I'm not their personal concierge" - uh, hello, they're visitors to your city, they don't know where they are, they've hired a cab to get them around, OF COURSE it's your job to help them find their destination. What crap service. However it may have been part of the Great International Taxi Conspiracy against J&C. |

surviving wrote:Personally, I'd like to see fewer "pick this up tasks" (though TAR12's was certainly the high-point in that regard, with pretty much every roadblock being one in some form or another), and fewer tasks designed solely for cheap laughs. They've always had tasks like these, but now they're ridiculous with how often they turn up and how unrelated to the local culture they are. Unfortunately, the commercial we saw at the end for TAR15 suggests this isn't changing any time soon.
David is currently responsible for two celebrity deaths and is working on some more: Kochie, Tom Williams, Richard Wilkins, and Kyle Sandilands. Any requests
for any more?

Even thinking back on it, the finale wasn't brilliant. I really didn't like that such a crucial challenge (the surfboards) was down to one person. I
prefer the final challenges to be for the duo, for a lot of reasons.
Bring on TAR15! |

I agree with you AP about the fianl challenge coming down to a single person. The entire race is a team effort and the final challenge should be one that both
team members are involved in.

Oh my I just finally got to see the end of this series....after being away. I have sat in tears, so upset that Luke & mum didnt win, when they were so
close. I really didn't want Victor to win, not really the girls either in the end....but I think Luke and his Mum were more deserving, as I was so
impressed that Luke could remember every leg in order, until the last one. I was soooooooooooooooooooo disappointed he just couldn't remember/see the last
board. Dave & I sat in silence when Tammy & Victor won. The recording ended, and we watched a blank screen in utter disbelief. Dave laughed that we
were both so gobsmacked at such a lousy outcome.................................

I think Luke and his Mum were more deserving, as I was so impressed that Luke could remember every leg in order, until the last oneBut you're not impressed that Victor could remember every leg in order, including the last ones? Actually I suspect that Luke's issue possibly wasn't so much forgetting as perhaps not finding the scorpion shishkebab surfboard. There was a huge pile of boards and once the others arrived and started throwing them around it was hard to search them methodically. |

I hated Victor, probably why I didn't take any notice that he remembered the order.

It's airing right now! We're only 2 episodes in (technically 3, since the first episode was a 2-hour double elimination spectacular) so you're not
too far behind.
