Liked the callback at the RoadBlock - it's the same place they used during the first season's gross-food Roadblock.
Mmmm, starfish.

Jen, honey, when you're that close to a million bucks, and that close to being eliminated, you do NOT stop for a toilet break. Either hold it in for a few
minutes, or wet yourself. No excuses. Now I have to put up with the possibility of seeing Jaime become part of the first all-female winners. Well, on the US
version anyway.

I was glad she peed though. I wanted the other 3 as the F3. But did feel sorry for her.

Yikes. Talk about 'spending a penny'.
Loved Tammy and Victor flubbing part of the Mandarin speaking challenge ('Mum and Dad will kill us'), but that was a smart call - no way known was that going to be as much of a challenge for them as anyone else. And, their prize: is that the best Travelocity prize yet? I wanna go to the Galapagos Islands too! Good to see Jaime continuing to be such a class act. And now I suppose we're set for a Tammy and Victor win, although I don't really mind who of the three win now. I didn't realise we were up to the finale already, so I'll know soon enough.

Wow. Most expensive toilet stop EVER. I wonder if future Racers will adopt the NASA astronaut trick of wearing a nappy?
When I saw the sisters had been U-turned I thought they must have been goners for sure as that restaurant challenge was extremely difficult for a non-native speaker (having had a similar experience in a Japanese restaurant I can vouch for that). How frustrating to have made up all that time then blown it again. Yes, I couldn't believe Jamie and Cara and their attitude. So damn ignorant and patronising. Why would they even think their driver would know what "acknowledgement" meant? They really were ugly Americans. I did say last week that Victor and Tammy's Mandarin didn't seem to be helping them much, but it certainly helped thim heaps this time round. I was even thinking at that stage that it was possibly a bit unfair having a challenge that was so much easier for them at such a crucial stage - but I suppose that is just the luck of the game, and (say) if they'd had a swimming challenge it would have advantaged the good swimmers, a running challenge would have advantaged the good runners, etc. |
