Howard Goodall's Big Bangs, a five episode series on 'big bangs' in western music: musical notation, opera, equal temperament, the piano and
recorded sound. Goodall is a composer, including of themes for the telly (Blackadder, Red Dwarf and Vicar of Dibley amongst others) and tv/radio presenter, and
is quite good fun, so this is no straightlaced dull doco by any means. I really enjoyed it when it was on the telly so it's great to be able to watch it
properly, at will, on dvd. It's just a shame there are no extras.

Lexx, series one. It's funnier than I remember but not quite as good, either. Perhaps this was the effect of having to watch it at 1am or whatever godly
time it was broadcast way back when? Ah well. I don't have to sit through all of it if I don't want to.

finally finished one tree hill season 4, was tossing up with what to watch next, OTH season 5, 90210 season 6, or gossip girl season 1.
Seeing as they've skipped 4 years on OTH and there was no cliffhanger last ep. I've gone with 90210. So far I don't think much of it but i've only seen half of the first ep. Some of the fashion and hairstyles dear god. I do remember going off 90210 in it's later years too many new characters etc.

Onto Family Guy Season 4.
I have so much I want to watch all at once. I want to finish watching all of Girls of The Playboy Mansion season 4 with the audio commentary's. (they are so good cause the girls recorded them after they had left the mansion and they generally do not hold back at all). I have Family Guy Season 5 then Golden Girls seasons 2 to 5. |

Capital City, series one. A very silly UK series about some hip and groovy stockbrokers who behave irresponsibly at nearly every turn but always get through,
mostly because they're so cute and clever. The lack of morals in their trading is quite interesting in light of the recent crash, even though the series is
pure fiction.

Lemme see. Quantum Leap S4, Spaced, and Robot Chicken S1. Been meaning to watch Millennium S1 too (had the set for, like 18 months, and have watched maybe
three episodes all up), but can't be arsed.

Not so much a "box set", but I've been rewatching this season of Lost over the past week, leading up to the finale this afternoon. Exciting.
Also been watching The Golden Girls sporadically.

Watching Neverwhere again, it's still got some excellent elements despite the low budget and bodgy (even for the time) special effects. Looking even more
forward to the film, too.

Oh raceguy I like Quantum Leap have season 3. Watching Star Trek Original Series Season 3 - I really like the new the tin cover sets JB HI Fi have put out -
they have a carboard outer you take off to have an unspoiled box set without the ratings etc marking all over it. They look cool, plus good waching!

A mate's lent me the 7 Up series boxed set and despite my best intentions I've already leapt ahead to watch the most recent instalment - and
potentially the last. After all they're all 50 now.
