When I first got it I really had no idea what to expect and wasn't even so sure I knew what it was about. I put it on one night thinking I will watch 20 minutes and go to sleep. I ended up watching it all. An emotional ride.

When it first started I was like, oh this is going to be crap. But it turned out really good. A few cringe worthy things were the fact that Zacs character played Basketball in it (Hello HSM), he has a dance in it (Hello HSM, Hairspray) and the line 'where in this together' (hello... 'where all in this together' HSM) is used. Once that start bit with all that crap in it is gone and Zac goes back in time and cuts his horrid hair to something hot the movie picks up a heap. I am pleased he turned down the lead in Footloose, his next role needs to be something completely different.

Ewan McGregor and Christian Bale and Toni Collette... It's also a very good point about it being weird without being interesting weird. At least it would've looked fantastic on the big screen with all those costumes and stage moments. Ah well, I got it for $1 at a garage sale, so I can't really complain. It's going into the silent auction at one of my club meetings this weekend too, so I don't even have to find it storage space much longer.

In this case the two characters are David Bowie & Iggy Pop, although not overtly referred to as such. If that's all you want from it, it sort of works. But yeah, it's otherwise a bit of a missed opportunity. However, it is remarkable for featuring Eno & Fripp's "Baby's On Fire" as masturbation music. I will never be able to listen to that track the same way again.

It was so bad. The songs were horrible as was the cast. Joe Jonas was damn hot though. I really hated the lead girl and basically the rest of the cast sucked as well. Such bad casting when they did so well with High School Musical. I think they were looking for different types of people and just didn't happen. Joe, my Husband. Mmmm.

Not much here that lifts it from the normal blokey buddy/roadtrip film, although there are lots of references to Star Wars as an affectionate tribute. Cameos from Ray Park (Darth Maul), Carrie Fisher (Leia), Billy Dee Williams (Lando), and a few other non-Star Wars people. Not exactly recommended but I did like a couple of scenes.

I figured I just may as well watch them all, there's heaps of films that are due for a re-watch, and alphabetical order seems like the most logical way of doing it so I don't get too confused with which movies I've seen and which I haven't. Anyway, I just watched 10 Things I Hate About You. It's okay, though not as good as I remember. It's kind of obnoxious with its constant Shakespeare references, it beats you over the head with them. All of the characters bar the leads are very one dimensional and annoying. But there's a few amusing scenes and I'd say it's one of the better films of the late 90s/early 2000s influx of teen comedies. Next film to watch is 2001: A Space Odyssey. Your Signature ...

Danny Boyle is probably my favourite director, I just love the way he shoots things. He always picks great material (let's just pretend that The Beach doesn't exist) and also chooses great music. The score in this film was awesome, very atmospheric. I'm not really a fan of the zombie genre, nor have I seen that many films in that genre, but this one would certainly have to be one of the best.
