Ok, the opening was worth tonight's taxes at work alone: 'making amends'! Oh very, very black. I wonder how many people they've offended within
the first five minutes.

I thought tonight's episode was really really funny. Loved the Rudd Safe Haven bit, loved the Small Talk with Ray Martin bit, loved the Stig bit, loved the
catholic church bit. Solid episode.

The Stig bit was funny although I suspect that the bloke who went to Stonehenge & France was in on it with him all along.
Bit of a coup getting all those guys together for the Ray Martin thing. And I did like the new title "Chaser's Waste of Taxpayer's Money" |

I was on the phone from around the Catholic Church bit onwards, so essentially missed a lot of the show. Did they do anything else with the Morans or was the
opening reference to Tuppence it? That was bad enough, I suppose, but then to top it with Peter Costello.
Small Talk with Ray Martin was fantastic, particularly the final question to Bill Henson. I also loved Michelle Grattan joining in with a camera, even if that sketch itself wasn't one of the better efforts in what was a really good show. This is a waste of taxpayer's money I'm quite happy with, thank you. |

No AP, that was it on the Morans.

In last night's show I did quite like the Noam Chomsky philosophical talk show. "The test proves - you are NOT the father of logical positivism!"
A giggle at Andrew Hansen's Ben Lee song, which seemed to be an attempt to say "We're not going to lose our edge". A few people likely to be offended by that one. |

I was out so completely missed the show. The Noam Chomsky talk show sounds brilliiant. I notice the tabloids today are outraged that The Chaser took a few
swipes about Michael Jackson, but given how outraged they all were about The Chaser making fun of sick children, the protests this time about how low the
swipes are look rather hollow. Almost protesting for protesting's sake.

That Noam Chomsky bit was absolutely hilarious. Easily the highlight of the show, though it was a pretty good episode overall.

Every time I read an article about 'The Chaser boys' I can almost hear Mike Moore (Frontline) saying 'Oh, those Chaser boys, they've done it
again', complete with fake ho-ho-ing. Anyway, oh those Chaser boys, they've done it again:
The boys from The Chaser comedy team have again applied humour to an inappropriate moment - this time by scaling the walls of a Canberra church attended by Prime Minister Kevin Rudd just before he was expected to comment on Australian casualties in the Jakarta bombings.Source. Tasteless, well yes, and very poor timing - timing being all in comedy. But an obvious point well made. |

But wait, there's more. Isn't there always.
Chaser Executive Producer Julian Morrow says the PM's team were aware of his stunt outside a church yesterday - and even the Federal Police didn't objectSource. |

Tonight's ep is the final of the series and possibly the last ever.
Hope it's better than last week's. |

Last chance to see, tonight!
Chas has been botoxed, spray tanned, plucked, waxed, etc and that should be worth checking out on its own. |

How was it?

Not that great. Although I did like the stingray being released in the Norwegian swimming pool.
I really hope Chas didn't actually get Hello Kitty tattooed on his arm. Botox is one thing but a kitty who always says hello, but never goodbye, is pretty serious. |

No, it wasn't that great, was it. I missed some of it owing to phone calls - and that includes missing the stingray in the Norwegian swimming pool, dammit!
But I did see them trying to nick things from the office of the Norwegian Culture Minister and that was amusing. My favourite bit was the 'war is over'
montage at the end. The series basically went out quietly without any final blasts of brilliance (like the Small Talk or Noam Chomsky shows).
Just been over to the website to watch the stingray and got to see them 'correcting' Norwegian spelling too. A lot more amusing than obvious shots at American christians. |

I forgot about Julian Morrow's Wall Street announcement at the railway station. That was quite amusing too - I also couldn't believe he managed to pull
it off.
I will miss Andrew Hansen's hair, too. |
