So I've recovered from my Zyrtek cloud and yes I now realize that we promoted the merge. It was funny to be reminded of it by you guys. What can I say, I really was "loopy" when I wrote that blog. But yes I do see episodes and I do know what we promote, sometimes I just forget…

Finally a merge! And finally this game is getting interesting!

In terms of the merge compared to other seasons, I didn't really find it as exciting (possibly because I don't feel that I have a lot of emotion vested in many of the players), however it was pretty cool to see the tide turn as quickly as it did.

I'm quite glad that both hidden immunity idols are now gone, and I'm strongly hoping that there will not be another one rehidden.

Interesting ep. So thought Ericka and Brian would go. But the girls just couldn't do it. Didn't mind either team going. I thought Brian was so supportive of Ericka during the bell challenge. He was so patient and proud of her it was very cute. Flight time and Big easy still cracking me up with their comments. "briannnnnnn" hahaha then everytime I heard Ericka say Brian after that I cracked up.

Next week looks interesting with the old haystack challenge..brings back...

Wow I thought Jaison was gone. Can Foa Foa become the new Aitu four? Hahaha at Shambo as leader! Erik's treatment of her was disgusting though. Looks like next week Galu all want to turn on each other - that can be the down side of only going to one tribal council - all the people who annoy you are still there.

hahaha i totally would have reacted the way Mika did if I had been there..but I think I would have ended up doing it. Couldn't believe when Big easy got stuck trying to work out the code to open the briefcase. They're funny. I was glad they stayed. Loved all their doing it for the hood comments. The gay guys were lucky the girls team went to the same challenge as them..they'd never have gotten it otherwise and it would have put them behind.

WOW we knew something bad was gonna happen, but I didn't expect it to be that bad ......... I was actually a little freaked out at some parts during Russell's collapse. Poor guy, the moment Jeff told him he was out and walked off (which seemed pretty cold on Probst behalf) and Russell started to cry was really sad ... I have to say I hate the gross food challenges. Watching people puke is just not my idea of entertainment.

I did have a laugh at Erik getting bitch slapped by the ocean, but listening to their comments about how fierce the ocean there is made me think about the terrible tsunami that swept through there just a few weeks after they said that. Sad.

I was surprised that Shambo didn't want to go over to the other tribe - she's got a great relationship with them...

Man oh man. If you have any kind of a heart, you have to be feeling for Foa Foa. It's been a long time since a tribe has performed this poorly. You'd have to go all the way back to Survivor: Palau when Stephanie's tribe was decimated week by week until she was the only person left in her tribe.

So, to recap: The contestants fail to learn from Toni and Dallas that losing your passports doesn't help you win the race. Frankly, Zev and Justin deserve to be eliminated for that.

Episode 4:

Aren't social dynamics fascinating? I'm guessing that a lot of you watching the show this season are enjoying Shambo. And why not? She's got a great sense of humor and a great head of hair. So why does Galu dislike her so much?

Here's my take. I think it comes down to the unpredictable nature of human interaction… social dynamics. You put a group of people together and natural relationships begin to form. Some people quickly connect, others not so...

AHHHHHH FINALLY WE GET TO MEET THE PURPLE TRIBE!!!! Seriously there was moments where they would talk or something and I was like WTF who are you ... sad that it took till episode 4 to get to know them, I guess we have troll man Russell to thank for that and the GREAT editing department.

Overall was a good episode. One of the better ones this season I think. I liked the little, but oh so somewhat random non showing of Jeff at the RC... what the fuck was that all about? It was kinda...

Don't quote me on this, but I think the producers are thinking the Vietnam War is a lot less controversial than it actually is. It doesn't bug me so much about the choice of the Reunification Palace as the Pit Stop, but -- especially when you have a contestant whose father was shot down -- why the hell would you give them bullets as clues?

This season had so much potential after last week, and it's just... not living up to it. Sigh.

I will be honest up front that this is going to be a unique blog because as I sit on my couch writing, my mind and my heart are with all the local Samoan families who are in dire straits as a result of a devastating earthquake and tsunami that rocked the island of Upolu, just a few days ago. Wasn't so much of a Russell episode... thankfully. I don't know how I felt about this episode. On the one side it was great to see some of the other contestants on the team but at the same time, they weren't anything of great value. I don't know where I sit with Shamo either, I think shes a work horse, but she seems like a grumpy bitch. 90210 team? Relax lady they were just probably taking out, what maybe an hour of the day to relax and do chill... I hate people who are work...

It IS becoming the Russell show! But kudos to him for finding the idol with no clues (that's good thinking). Yasmin reminds me of one of those people who have never watched the show before with her "I didn't think it would be this hard" and "how could you push a girl when you're a dude!?" Because it's Survivor dear.
